Audio Visual Skills

Overview

This 60-minute session is designed for 5th Year LCVP students preparing for the 2013 audio visual section of the Language and Communication Link Module exam paper. The focus is on familiarising students with the exam format, developing analysis and comprehension skills, and practising answering techniques that adhere to the IE Curriculum for LCVP.

Differentiation

For weaker students: scaffolding with sentence starters and vocabulary lists during practice sections.
For higher ability students: encourage deeper analysis of subtext and language nuances, expand answers using critical evaluation language.
Use of ICT: students can optionally record a brief verbal summary using mobile devices, promoting multimodal literacy skills.
