Lesson Outline

Introduction (10 minutes)

2. Discussion:
   • What is natural light? Examples: Sun, stars.
   • What is artificial light? Examples: Light bulbs, screens.

Reading and Vocabulary (20 minutes)

1. Read Passage Aloud:
   • The teacher reads the passage on light aloud. Ensure students follow along in their copies.
   • Pause to highlight vocabulary words: natural light, artificial light, emit, reflect.
2. Vocabulary Emphasis:
   • Explain each vocabulary word in detail.
   • Use real-life examples for 'emit' (flashlight) and 'reflect' (mirror).

Class Activity: Light Exploration (20 minutes)

1. Emit and Reflect Experiment:
   • Use a flashlight and a mirror to demonstrate emission and reflection.
   • Ask students to predict what will happen when the flashlight (emitter) is shone onto the mirror (reflector).
   • Perform the experiment and observe the light's path.

Group Activity: Source Hunt (15 minutes)

1. Divide into Groups:
   • Students get into small groups.
2. Object Identification:
   • Groups create a list of 5 objects that emit light and 5 that reflect light. Use chart paper and markers.
   • Present their findings to the class, explaining the energy source involved (e.g., battery, electricity).

Question and Answer Session (10 minutes)

1. Comprehension Questions:
   • Use prepared questions to facilitate understanding of how light is always around us.
   • Encourage students to refer back to definitions and the reading passage.

Conclusion (5 minutes)
