What are Possessive Adjectives?
Special words that show something belongs to you In English we say: my mom, my dad, my sisters In French we have three different words for 'my' The word changes depending on the family member
Mon - For Masculine Family Members
Use MON before masculine family words mon père (my father) mon frère (my brother) mon grand-père (my grandfather) mon oncle (my uncle)
Ma - For Feminine Family Members
Use MA before feminine family words ma mère (my mother) ma sœur (my sister) ma grand-mère (my grandmother) ma tante (my aunt)
Mes - For Plural Family Members
Use MES before plural family words (more than one) mes parents (my parents) mes frères (my brothers) mes sœurs (my sisters) mes grands-parents (my grandparents)
