Objective:

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to identify and describe the properties of common three-dimensional shapes including cubes, cuboids, spheres, pyramids, and cones.

Lesson Plan:

Introduction (5 minutes)

   • Start with a quick interactive quiz about previously learned 2D shapes.

Main Activity (20 minutes)

1. Exploration of 3D Shapes:

   • Distribute 3D shape models to groups of students.
   • Ask them to explore the shapes by touching and viewing them from different angles.
   • Prompt questions: "How many faces does this shape have? How many edges? How many vertices?"

2. Group Discussion:

   • Each group discusses and writes down properties of their shapes (Number of faces, edges, vertices, types of edges, and whether the faces are flat or curved).
