Lesson Outline
Introduction (10 minutes)

- Welcome and Icebreaker: Conduct a quick icebreaker where students list 3 AI technologies they know or have used (e.g., voice assistants, recommendation algorithms).
- Introduction to AI: Briefly explain what Artificial Intelligence is, its background, and its importance in modern technology. Use relatable examples like Siri, Netflix recommendations, or autonomous cars.
Exploring AI with MagicSchool.ai (15 minutes)
Objective: Engage students with hands-on examples from magicschool.ai to demonstrate AI capabilities.
- Magicschool.ai Introduction: Show how magicschool.ai can be used to create AI-powered projects. Explain its features and potential.
- Live Demo: Conduct a live demonstration of a MagicSchool.ai project. Example: Create an interactive chatbot or simple image recognition app.
- Q&A Session: Allow students to ask questions and discuss what they found interesting about the demo.
Group Activity: AI in Our Lives (20 minutes)
Objective: Students explore how AI impacts different sectors and discuss ethical considerations.
- Group Assignment: Divide the class into five groups. Assign each group an area where AI is prominent, such as:
- Healthcare
- Education
- Entertainment
- Transport
- Environment
- Research and Presentation: Each group will research their area using laptops/tablets and prepare a brief presentation on:
- How AI is used in their area
- Benefits and challenges of AI in that area
- Ethical considerations (privacy, job displacement, etc.)
- Presentations: Groups present their findings to the class. After each presentation, allow time for questions and discussion.
Hands-on AI Project (30 minutes)
