Lesson structure (45 minutes)

  1. 0–5 minutes – Hook and prior knowledge

Open with the hook and lesson overview slides. Show an image of two pikelets: one light and even, one tough and uneven. Ask: “What might have happened during mixing or cooking?” Students think-pair-share, then share one idea.

  1. 5–12 minutes – Teach mixing methods

  1. 25–35 minutes – Supervised practical rehearsal
