Teaching Instructions

Design, plan, and run a school Christmas Market. Students will develop their understanding of key business concepts by designing, producing and selling goods and services for our Christmas market. They will practise handling money, and calculate costs and profits. Profits will go toward our 2027 school camp. I need lesson 3 and 4 ideas: Lesson 3: Money Matters – Costs, Pricing, and Profit Lesson 4: Marketing and Persuasion Focus: Understanding what a business is and learning about money, pricing, and calculating profit. Focus: Promoting our products and attracting customers. Learning intentions: Develop an understanding of key economic concepts (cost, profit, loss, receipt, budget, expenses, revenue, credit etc.) Understand that prices are set to cover costs and make a profit. Calculate costs, selling prices, and expected profits. Practise handling money and learn what a “cash float” is. Learning intentions: Understand how advertising influences consumers. Create promotional material for our market using persuasive language and design elements.
