My lesson is going to be on the shamrock organisational structure. i am a student teacher so it has a rather basic structure. firstly i will begin by introducing myself and do a bit of recap of what iver observed. most of my lesson will be on slides. i will give them a definition of what a shamrock organisational structure is: A Shamrock structure is an organsiational model proposed by charles Handt that suggests a business should be composed of three distinct groups (the leaves) rather than a single massive workforce. each leaf represents a differnt type of worker, allowing the company to remain lean and flexible. then i will start almost like a class dicusion where i will circulate and ask questions like what kind of businesses do we think incorporate this kind of model.. and then we dicuss why we think this - explain overheads. then i will move on to giving the, the actual why and will then ask them to take some notes. then i will present them the advantages and disadvantages - maybe have a class discussion as we go through these and ask them to compare how they are similar and contrast to the other organisational model that we have learnt about. after this we will then go through a ncea external question on the shamrock model - where i wil give the students tips on how to approach this - maybe make a key words list that they want to use to elevate their answers and maybe give them a what would A do - as a what to think of think of the approaches to the question.
