Lesson structure (60 minutes)

  2. 5–13 minutes – Explicit teaching and visual demonstration Use the transformation demonstration slides to show one shape moving on a grid. Correct the examples together and reinforce that precise descriptions allow another person to recreate the movement.

  3. 57–60 minutes – Exit response Return to the plenary and exit prompt slide. Students complete the final box on the worksheet: describe a pictured transformation in one complete sentence and name the key information used. Collect sheets as students leave.
