When is ANZAC Day?
April 25th every year It's always on the same date This year it's on a [day of week] We remember this special day each year

Where did the ANZACs go?
They went far away from home To a place called Gallipoli It's in a country called Turkey They went to help their friends in the war

Why do we remember?
"We remember the brave soldiers who helped keep us safe"

The Dawn Parade
People wake up very early They gather when the sun comes up They stand quietly to remember It's peaceful and special

Poppies - Flowers of Remembrance
Red poppies are special flowers They remind us of the soldiers People wear them on ANZAC Day They grow where battles happened long ago

ANZAC Biscuits
Special biscuits made with oats Families back home made them They sent them to soldiers far away They lasted a long time without going bad

Let's Make ANZAC Biscuits!
We'll learn the special recipe Mix oats, flour, and coconut Add golden syrup to make them stick Bake them until golden brown
