Teaching Instructions

I want to explain to BTECH students the government's role in tourism. and how the state shapes a tourist's visit in the UNited Kingdom.

I want to teach about the main key areas the government controls such as health and safety laws, the environment, the benefits and disadvantages of VISA's , Security, Infrastructure and all the other policies that the government make for tourists to come to the UK.

I would like some case study senario's so students can do some role play different government roles.

I would also like a slide show , about 12 slides, and a worksheet based on the presentation. One of the slides should show the different government roles as a word storm in different colours

The presentation and slideshow should be suitable for all abilities especially SEN and higher ability.

Title: Government and Tourism
Current Content:

Overview

This 60-minute lesson introduces Year 11 BTEC Geography students to the role of the UK Government in tourism. Focusing on government controls — such as health and safety laws, visa policies, security, infrastructure investments, and environmental protection — students will explore how these shape tourist experiences and industry sustainability. With interactive role plays and accessible resources, the lesson aligns closely with the National Curriculum for England (KS4 Geography) and meets the cognitive and SEN needs of all learners.
