the same idea as last lesson plan. Here is the week broken down as 5 lessons. PLs add detail where needed.
Week 3 : Narrative structure and dialogue
day 1: Intro story structure . (beginning -build up - dilemma - resolution - end) Show 2-3 short animations and map story structure onto story mountain. Plan story - Annotated Storyboard (3-6 scenes) that follows story mountain structure - possibly using online storyboard app
day 2 you can have backgrounds for your film (i.e 2 settings). We’ll make 1 today, 1 tomorrow. Check your storyboard and edit it if necessary to ensure there are 2 clear settings. Make any props you need for this setting.
day 3 Build second scene and props. are there any English links we cld have to this creative lesson? day 4 using character to convey character E.g showing that your character is kind, brave, bullying etc… Show animation examples Think about the beginning of your story. What dialogue could show how your character is feeling? And how another character feels differently. E.g rainforest theme: “I love this forest - I grew up here!” “We need money more than a forest!” “Well, my home is more important to me than money!” Ch work with a partner to act out different ideas…and write down/record dialogue. Recap punctuation (speech marks, punctuation, new line) and contracted forms
day 5 using dialogue to move the story on story on - reveals the problem and sets a goal to solve it Show animation examples Think about the problem part in your story. E.g rainforest theme “The bulldozers are coming!” “We need to find somewhere safe to hide!” Ch work with a partner to act out different ideas…and write down/record dialogue. Recap punctuation (speech marks, punctuation, new line)
