Meet Nelson Mandela

Nelson's Early Life
Born in 1918 in South Africa. His real name was Rolihlahla He lived in a mud hut. He had no TV or games. He played outside, herded sheep, and listened to stories from the elders. He loved going to school. He was very kind to others. At school, his teacher gave him a new name: Nelson. He dreamed of everyone being friends. As a boy, Nelson saw unfairness. He dreamed that one day, everyone would be treated the same.
