📅 Day 1: Introducing the Reserve Bank and Money Creation

• What the Reserve Bank of New Zealand does

• How money is made in our country

• What the economy and inflation mean

• Why the Reserve Bank was created

• Watch a video about how money is made

• Discuss the Reserve Bank's important jobs

• Write an explanatory paragraph using linking words like 'because', 'this means that', 'for example'

🔍 Day 2: Learning Security Features of NZ Currency

• How long banknotes last and their life cycle

• What security features are on NZ banknotes

• Why security features are important (to stop counterfeiting)

• New vocabulary: security thread, watermark, transparent window, colour-shifting ink

• Watch "The life of a bank note" video

• Work in groups to examine real NZ banknotes

• Find and list 2-3 security features on different notes

• Present our findings to the class

🎨 Days 3-4: Create Your Own Currency Template

• How to apply my knowledge of security features

• About NZ symbols, colours, and design elements

• How to plan and create my own currency design

• Design my own banknote with a denomination (value)

• Include 2-3 security features (learned or invented)

• Add symbols representing New Zealand (flora, fauna, culture)

• Explain my design choices and security features
