SEED writing helps you structure a strong paragraph:

S - State your opinion clearly
E - Elaborate with details and explanation

D - Draw a conclusion

2. S - State your opinion: What do you think makes a strong community? Write one clear sentence stating your opinion.

Starter: "I believe that a strong community..."

3. E - Elaborate: Explain your opinion with 2-3 sentences. Why do you think this? What details support your opinion?

4. E - Example: Give a specific example from your local community, school, or New Zealand that demonstrates your point.

Starter: "For example, in my community..." or "This can be seen when..."

5. D - Draw a conclusion: Finish with a sentence that reinforces your main point or suggests why this matters.

Starter: "Therefore..." or "This shows that..." or "Ultimately..."

6. Now combine all your SEED sentences into one complete paragraph about community. Edit and improve your sentences as you write them together:
