Materials Needed

Lesson Plan Details

1. Introduction (30 seconds)

  • Briefly explain: “Today, you will work in small groups to write a short business plan and organise the job roles needed to make your idea happen.”
  • Emphasise teamwork and clear roles improve business success.

2. Activity A: Writing a Simple Business Plan (1 minute)

  • Task: Each group (3-4 students) chooses a simple business idea (e.g., a school fundraiser stall, lemonade stand).
  • Use the business plan template which prompts them to:
    • Name the business
    • Describe the product/service
    • Identify customers
    • List what is needed (resources)
  • Teacher circulates to support and clarify.

3. Activity B: Organise Job Roles (30 seconds)

  • Each group writes down their main tasks and who will do each task on the planning sheet.

5. Reflection (30 seconds)

  • Each student quickly reflects on:
    • What role they played
    • One thing they did well
    • One thing they could improve next time
  • Share reflections briefly with the group or whole class.
