Lesson Breakdown
🔹 0:00 – 5:00 | Welcome and Debrief
- Greet students with upbeat music to set a celebratory tone.
- Quick warm-up circle (low intensity): skipping on the spot, shoulder rolls, deep breaths.
- Teacher-led talk: “You’ve completed 20 lessons of focused aerobic training—today is about celebrating progress, not perfection!”
🔹 5:00 – 15:00 | Reflection Stations
Set-up: Four rotating stations (3 mins per station). Students rotate in pairs.
- Timeline Tracker – Students add the final week to their fitness timeline and annotate key moments (e.g., “First time I ran non-stop for 5 minutes”).
- High-5 Wall – Students write compliments or shoutouts to others on post-it notes (“You were persistent!” “Loved your encouragement in week 3!”).
- Mirror Moment – Students use mirrors and answer: “What did I learn about myself?” using textas directly onto laminated boards, which are wiped clean after.
- Growth Gauge – Students compare initial and final fitness logs, drawing a simple graph or image to represent their progress.
Teacher Role: Circulate to prompt deeper reflection and assist with station timing.
🔹 15:00 – 25:00 | Values Circle
- Students sit in a circle.
- Each shares a response to:
- “One thing I’m proud of…”
- “One thing I struggled with…”
- “One thing I’d like to continue improving…”
Optional prompts for shy students: Use emotion dice or card deck with sentence starters.
Assessment opportunity: Anecdotal records for personal development and understanding.
🔹 25:00 – 40:00 | Celebration Circuit
A fun, low-pressure circuit of 5 stations. Students choose their start point and rotate every 3 minutes.
- Victory Lap Relay – Students complete a 100m creative run (e.g., high knees, jogging backwards, arms raised).
- Jump Jam – Mini dance zone (silent disco with headphones or quiet background music). Students create team dances (in pairs).
- Challenge Card Station – Flip a random card with an aerobic mini-challenge (e.g., “20 star jumps while smiling!”).
- Partners’ Praise Push – In pairs, perform possum push-ups or plank while paying 2 compliments to each other.
- Team Tee Tag – Light game of dodging and tagging with soft tee shirts – celebrate tagging with a “Woohoo!” cheer.
Note: Modify for varying fitness and comfort levels.
🔹 40:00 – 48:00 | Creative Completion – Fitness Timeline Gallery
- Students display their timelines around the room.
- Whole-class gallery walk: Each student receives 4 “Fitness Stars” (stickers) to place on the displays they admire most.
- Teacher reads out a few personalised praise messages collected from the High-5 Wall.
🔹 48:00 – 53:00 | Awards and Closure

(Pre-planned with teacher notes – all students recognised.)
