Lesson structure (45 minutes)

  1. 0–5 min · Welcome and hook. Teacher displays the opening shape mystery showing a familiar object partly hidden and asks, “What shapes might be hiding in our classroom?” Students make a quiet guess, then share the shape they noticed and explain what helped them decide.

  2. 5–12 min · Revise and model. Teacher uses the shape review slides to revisit circle, triangle, square and rectangle, modelling how to look for straight or curved edges, sides and corners.
