Why Do We Need CARES Values?
The expected behaviours that make up our CARES values help us learn how to be a positive member of our school community and create a positive and enjoyable school culture.
C - Cooperation
Working together as a team Taking turns and sharing Listening to others' ideas Helping classmates when they need support
A - Achievement
Working towards completing your tasks Trying your best in all activities Celebrating success - yours and others' Setting goals and working to reach them
Respect in Action
Role-play activity: Following instructions the first time Partner up and practice respectful communication Show respect for school property and environment Demonstrate respect for different opinions and ideas
E - Enthusiasm & S - Safety
Enthusiasm: Try something new with a positive attitude Be ready to learn and participate Safety: Walk on hard surfaces, run on ovals Care for school property and equipment Look after yourself and others
