Overview

This 60-minute lesson engages first class students (ages 6-7) in understanding their local community through a Geography-focused visit to the Garda Station. The session aligns with the Irish Primary Curriculum (IE) Geography strand, emphasising Awareness of Locality and People and Places in Other Areas. It combines experiential learning with structured classroom discussions to develop social, observational, and geographical skills appropriate to the age group.
