Lesson Procedure

Introduction (5 minutes)

  • Each group will share one interesting observation about their material and its common uses.
  • Facilitate a discussion, prompting students to think critically: “Why do you think we use this material for that purpose?”

Closure (10 minutes)

  • Group Brainstorming: On a large poster board, create a mind map of the materials discussed, linking each material to its properties and uses. Invite students to contribute ideas from their worksheets.
  • Reflection Questions: Ask the class:

    • "Can you think of a way to combine materials to make something new?"
