🎲 Activity 1: Measurement Olympics (25 Minutes)

Station-Based, Partner Activity (13 students = groups of 2, with one group of 3)

Set-Up:

Create 4 rotating stations:

  1. Target Throw – Students throw a beanbag and measure the distance in cm/metres.
  2. Longest Line – Teams use various objects to make the longest continuous line, then measure it.
  3. Jump Challenge – One student jumps, teammate records measurement.

  • Students gather at the carpet with whiteboards.
  • The teacher reads Conversion Cards, e.g.:

    “A door is 2 metres tall. How many centimetres is that?”

  • Students race to write the correct value on their whiteboard.
