Higher Level Essay (HL Only)
20% weighting for HL students only Independent research and analysis 1,200-1,500 word analytical essay Demonstrates all Assessment Objectives Showcases critical engagement with literature
Individual Oral Assessment
25% weighting (both SL and HL) 10-minute prepared oral commentary Connects literature to global contexts Focuses on Assessment Objectives 1 & 3 Develops communication and presentation skills
