Recap: Why is soil important? Review: How do humans affect soil? Visual prompts to spark memory Connect to previous composting lessons

Brainstorming & Planning (10 minutes)
Write 2-3 soil protection ideas on sticky notes Share ideas in small groups (3-4 students) Choose 2 main messages for posters Organize ideas on planning sheets

What are the most important soil protection messages? How can we make our posters eye-catching? Who is our audience for Earth Day? What images will help communicate our ideas?

Poster Making (20 minutes)
