Lesson structure (45 minutes)

  1. 0–5 min · Hook and notice. Teacher opens the opening data mystery and displays a dot plot showing the number of books read by 25 students in a month, including a clear cluster, gap and unusual value.   2. 5–12 min · Build the language.
