Lesson Structure

1. Warm-up and Focus (10 minutes)

• Activity: Ensemble vocal and physical warm-up to energise and focus students (e.g., breathing exercises, tongue twisters, group mirroring).
• Purpose: Prepare students physically and mentally for concentrated rehearsal and help shift focus to performance quality.

2. Review Feedback (10 minutes)

• Activity: Teacher recaps key feedback points from previous rehearsals and provides targeted suggestions for each group or role.
• Student Engagement: Students discuss briefly in groups what changes they plan to implement.
• Purpose: Consolidate learning from feedback, enable goal-setting.

3. Focused Ensemble Rehearsal (25 minutes)

• Activity: Students rehearse their scenes incorporating refinements, focusing on:
  • Clear diction and dynamic vocal delivery of Shakespearean language.
  • Body language and stage positioning to support meaning.
  • Timing and interaction maintaining dramatic tension.
• Teacher circulates, providing live coaching and prompting reflection.
• Encourage students to offer constructive peer feedback during pauses.
• Optionally, record some scenes for self-assessment.

4. Reflect and Refine (10 minutes)
