Lesson structure (60 minutes)

  1. 0–5 min · Hook and purpose. Teacher displays the opening comparison of crisp and collapsed meringues and asks, “What might make one meringue hold its shape while another fails?” Students make an individual prediction, then share one idea with a partner. Teacher introduces the WALT and success criteria.

  7. 55–60 min · Plenary and exit check. Teacher revisits the opening prediction using the final reflection slide and asks groups to explain whether their prediction was supported.
