  • Ākonga support needed: Ka mahi i runga i te pepa i tāia kē, me te awhina a te kaiako/kaiāwhina.
  • Extension: Ka hanga he pānui mō ia whetū — ko wai te whetū, he aha tana mahi?

Activity 2: Waka o ngā Whetū (30 mins)

  • He mahi-a-ringaringa e hanga ai ngā ākonga i te waka nuku-nuku (e tohu ana i te haerenga o ngā tīpuna).
  • Ka whakamahi i te rākau me te raupō me ngā whetū pepa i hangaia i mua hei whakapaipai.

Tuhinga o te Whetū (Optional Literacy): Mō ia whetū, ka kōrero te kaiako i te whakapapa me te mahi. He tauera kupu hei āwhina i te hunga kei te ako te reo.

  • Ka waiata tātou i te waiata "Ngā Whetū o Matariki" - he waiata nā te kaiako i whakarite mō ngā whetū e iwa.
  • Ka tākaro kōrero: 'Kei hea a...? Kei konei a ___!' (Whakawhiti tohu me ngā whetū i runga i te papa)
