Born in North Africa (354 AD) in modern-day Algeria Lived a wild youth - partied and made poor choices Had a dramatic conversion to Christianity at age 32 Became Bishop of Hippo and great Christian teacher Wrote famous books like 'Confessions' about his life journey His ideas still influence Christian thinking today
