💡 Light

Light is very important for plants. It helps them make food through a process called photosynthesis. Plants need:

• Quantity: How much light they get
• Quality: The color of the light
• Duration: How long they get light

For example, sunflowers follow the sun to get more light. If they get too little light, they grow weak. Too much light can hurt some plants, like ferns, which like shade.

🌡️ Temperature

Temperature affects how plants grow. When it gets warmer:

• Respiration: Plants use energy faster
• Transpiration: Plants lose water faster

For example, tomatoes like warm weather, but too much heat can make flowers fall off. Carrots taste better when it’s cooler. Very high heat can stop growth, and very low heat slows down food making.

💧 Water

Water is crucial for plants. It helps them:

• Make food and energy
• Stay upright and strong
• Transport nutrients
• Cool down through evaporation
• Open and close leaf pores for air
• Grow roots to find more nutrients

For example, cacti store water to survive in dry places.
