Lesson Overview

This 30-minute lesson aims to introduce Year 4 students to essential vocabulary and cultural aspects of France while aligning with the National Curriculum for Modern Foreign Languages. Preparation

1. Create flashcards with key vocabulary in French on one side and English on the other.

Class Structure

Introduction (5 Minutes)

• Greeting the Class: Begin with a warm greeting in French: “Bonjour, tout le monde!” Engage students by asking, “Comment ça va?” (How are you?).

Main Activity (15 Minutes)

Vocabulary Introduction (5 Minutes)
