- Begin with a quick recap of Lesson 1 (Light sources and shadows).
- Ask: Where does light come from? Can you see in the dark?
- Introduce the word "reflection". Write it on the board and ask if anyone heard it before.
- Show a torch and a mirror briefly and ask what might happen when light shines on the mirror.
- Discuss briefly: What do you think happens to the light when it hits shiny surfaces?

Do a simple magic trick – shine the torch on a mirror and angle it so the light 'bounces' in the room. Let pupils watch fascinated by light movement.
2. Main Activity (40 minutes)
Guided practical investigation in groups (5-6 pupils per group)
Step A: Predict (5 mins)
- Hand out worksheets.
- Ask groups to look at their objects and predict which will reflect light well and which won’t. Record predictions.
Step B: Experiment (25 mins)
- Each group uses the torch, reflects light off each object onto white paper or walls.
- Pupils observe whether the light beam is clear and bright, faint, or non-existent.
- Record observations carefully on their worksheet.
- Encourage pupils to try changing angles and record how the reflection angle changes.
