Overview

This 45-minute session begins the unit "Music for Special Occasions" by immersing Year 7 students in the rich variety of music specially composed or traditionally used for important life and community events. Through active listening, discussion, and reflection, students will identify and describe features of music associated with weddings, graduations, and sports ceremonies, developing their understanding of music’s social and cultural roles as outlined in the National Curriculum for England.
