This is a new focus on Sabre tooth tiger. Children are to create their own non-chronological report on this animal. This will be their hot write so the piece of writing that is assessed. Children only need to write one paragraph a day. The focus for this lesson will be on the subheading - What did a Sabre toothed tiger look like. In their writing their must be the use of nouns, pronouns, conjunctions and vital vocabulary as this will be under the success criteria for marking. This needs to be highly structured but not too much as this should be independent to see how much the children can do on their own.
