2. Introduction (5 minutes)

Discussion Points:

1. What is Teamwork?

   • Facilitate a quick discussion on teamwork and its significance in football.
   • Questions to prompt discussion:
     • Why is it important to communicate with your teammates?
     • Can anyone give an example of how teamwork has helped them in sports?

2. Real-Life Examples:

   • Discuss successful football teams (e.g., Premier League teams) and highlight how teamwork contributed to their success.

3. Communication Drill (10 minutes)

Activity: "Pass and Move"

• Setup: Divide students into pairs. Use cones to mark a 10x10m area. Each pair is given one football.
• Instructions:
  • Students must pass the ball to each other while constantly moving.
  • After each pass, they should call out their partner's name to enhance communication.
  • Encourage them to discuss where they will move to next.
• Objective: To illustrate how communication aids in effective passing and movement in football.

4. Teamwork Challenge (7 minutes)

Activity: Mini Football Matches in Teams

• Setup: Divide students into small teams of 3 (6 teams). Use pinnies for team identification.
• Instructions:
  • Each match lasts 3 minutes.
  • Rotate teams after each match.
  • Focus on teamwork strategies: passing, positioning, and calling for the ball.
• Objective: To experience the essence of teamwork in a game-like scenario while reinforcing communication skills.

5. Cool Down and Reflection (3 minutes)

Activity: Group Reflection

• Gather students in a circle.
• Discuss:

  • How can they apply effective communication in their next game?
• Wrap-Up: Reinforce that teamwork is crucial for success in football, highlighting the importance of supporting each other.
