Lines of Symmetry in 2D Shapes (detailed)

About this illustration

A detailed, labelled reference chart showing lines of symmetry for 12 common 2D shapes. Each shape is numbered, named, illustrated with dashed symmetry lines, and given a count of lines of symmetry. A legend at the top explains the key conventions (dotted lines, infinite symmetry, halves matching). A key at the bottom distinguishes vertical, horizontal, diagonal, and multiple lines of symmetry. A small flowchart on the top right shows the relationship: Shape → Lines of Symmetry → Number of Lines.
