Accessibility and VPAT
Accessibility Statement
Kuraplan is committed to making its teaching-resource platform accessible to educators and institutions. We review the product against recognised accessibility guidance and improve the experience where barriers are identified.
Last reviewed: 2 May 2026
Standards We Use
Kuraplan uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines as our primary reference for web accessibility work. Our current target for product review and remediation is WCAG 2.2 Level AA, while recognising that formal conformance claims require detailed testing across the relevant product scope.
Current Work
- Designing product workflows so they can be operated with a keyboard.
- Using readable text, visible focus states, and sufficient colour contrast.
- Providing accessible names, labels, and structure for interactive controls.
- Reviewing generated teaching resources and exports for accessibility risks.
- Improving compatibility with assistive technologies where issues are found.
Recent Improvements
- Improved visible keyboard focus behaviour across links, buttons, form controls, and interactive elements.
- Added reduced-motion handling for users who prefer less animation.
- Improved accessible names for chat, attachment, image-selection, resource-selection, rating, and generated-resource controls.
- Improved dialog semantics for support, navigation, planner, QR-code, image-picker, and resource-picker experiences.
- Resolved automated WCAG scan findings on key public and unauthenticated product routes.
- Completed an expanded internal browser audit across 42 routes with 0 Axe violations after remediation.
- Published a self-attested Accessibility Conformance Report for institutional review.
Known Limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing process, especially for a product that creates editable and AI-generated educational materials. We are currently reviewing the following areas:
- Some AI-generated content, images, slides, worksheets, and exported files may require educator review before use with learners.
- Complex editing and resource-generation workflows are being reviewed for screen reader and keyboard-only usability.
- Third-party services used for authentication, analytics, payments, or embedded content may have their own accessibility behaviour.
VPAT / ACR Status
Kuraplan has prepared a self-attested Accessibility Conformance Report using a VPAT 2.5Rev INT-style structure. The report covers WCAG 2.2 Level A/AA, with high-level mappings to Revised Section 508 and EN 301 549.
If your organisation requires a specific template, review, or additional evidence, please contact us with the requirement and deadline.
