✏️ Part 2: WALT, Success Criteria & Reflection

WALT: We are learning to identify and describe the faces, vertices (corners) and edges of common 3D shapes.

Success criteria:

1. I can name each 3D shape shown.

2. I can count and record the number of faces, vertices and edges for each shape.

3. I can explain one method used to count edges or vertices.

Differentiation strategies (to support diverse learners):

- Provide shape models for hands-on counting and a labelled example to follow.

- Use sentence starters for students who need language support (e.g. "I found the edges by...").

- Allow extra time and one-to-one guidance where needed.

Extension activities (for advanced learners):

- Investigate Euler's formula (V − E + F = 2) for polyhedra and test it on at least two shapes above.

- Create a new polyhedron, draw its net and calculate faces, vertices and edges.
