🌱 Keyword Cards: Which Soil Helps a Bean Grow?

🗣️ Teacher Pronunciation and Reference Key

Mandarin: The pinyin shows an approximate pronunciation. Model the word slowly, then invite students to repeat or listen using text-to-speech.

Arabic: Arabic is read from right to left. The transliteration gives an approximate pronunciation; Arabic sounds may vary by region.

Sentence frames:

Differentiation: Work in mixed-ability pairs or groups. Offer students a smaller set of cards, picture clues, sentence frames, partner reading, audio or text-to-speech. Allow students to point, draw, label, speak or write their response. Keep cards spaced clearly and read one short instruction at a time.

Extension: Sort the cards into materials, needs, plant parts and findings. Then write a short information-report sentence using at least five keywords, including one sentence about the results.
