Support strategies:

• Read the poem aloud or play an audio recording before starting the worksheet.

• Provide a large-print or coloured-paper version for students with dyslexia or visual needs.

• Allow verbal responses — students can tell their answers to a teacher or aide who scribes.

• Non-verbal students can point to pictures, use AAC devices, or draw their responses in the drawing box.

• Use visual supports: show images of straw, sticks, and bricks alongside questions 4–6.

• Break the worksheet into sections with movement or sensory breaks between each part.

Extension strategies:

• Advanced learners complete questions 10–11 and can write or perform their own "twisted" version of the story.

• Students may compare Roald Dahl's version to the traditional Three Little Pigs story.
