Room 5 Challenge Pack – Can You Complete Them All?

WALT: We are learning to write descriptively and use figurative language; plan and present ideas; and use maps to explain navigation.

Success criteria: I have written 5–6 sentences with a simile, a metaphor and personification; labelled my map; and explained why stars guide voyagers.

Differentiation: Extra support: read prompts aloud or work with a partner. Challenge: add expanded vocabulary or write a short journal entry of the voyage.

Imagine you are sailing across the Pacific over 800 years ago. Write 5–6 sentences describing one difficult challenge you would face. Include one simile, one metaphor and one example of personification.
