Mauao Persuasive Writing

Help a visitor decide whether to explore Mauao. Read the short information, plan your opinion, then write a persuasive paragraph. You may agree or disagree, but give reasons.

Mauao stands beside the beach at the entrance to Tauranga Harbour in Aotearoa New Zealand. Many people visit to walk on its tracks, enjoy views of the harbour and ocean, and spend time outdoors. The tracks go uphill, so walkers need to take care, wear suitable shoes and follow signs. Mauao is a special place for tangata whenua. Visitors can help care for it by staying on the tracks and taking rubbish away.
