📚 Part 1: WALT & Quick Check

WALT: We are learning to write texts to persuade by stating our opinion clearly, giving reasons with linking words, and ending with a conclusion.

Success Criteria: I can:

✏️ Part 2: Plan, Write & Revise

5. Choose a topic and write your opinion (start with "I think..." or "I believe...")

6. List two reasons to support your opinion. Try to start one reason with because and the other with for example or also.

7. Now write a short persuasive paragraph (3–6 sentences). Include your opinion in the introduction, at least one linking word, and a concluding sentence.

8. Quick revise checklist — tick each box if it is true for your paragraph:

I stated my opinion clearly.

I used at least one linking word (because / for example / also).

I wrote a concluding sentence that matches my opinion.

My sentences are clear and handwriting is neat.

Differentiation: Use these supports as needed — sentence starters: "I think...", "Because...", "For example...", "Also...". Teachers can scribe for students who need support or ask confident writers to add another reason.
