During morning break, Jake went to check on his lunch, but when he opened his bag, the lunchbox had completely vanished. He searched frantically through every compartment, but it was nowhere to be found. His stomach began to rumble with worry.

"Don't panic," said his friend Emma, who had witnessed Jake's distress. "Let's retrace your steps and solve this mystery together." They methodically visited every classroom Jake had been to that morning, asking teachers and students if they had seen the missing lunchbox.

Finally, in the science laboratory, Mrs. Chen smiled and pointed to the windowsill. "Is that what you're looking for?" she asked. There sat Jake's lunchbox, exactly where he had absent-mindedly left it during their experiment on plant growth. Jake felt both relieved and slightly embarrassed as he retrieved his lunch, thanking Emma for her detective work.
