📚 Part 1: Representing Tenths and Hundredths

WALT: We are learning to read, write, represent, compare and order tenths and hundredths as fractions and decimals.

Success criteria: I can use place value, hundred grids and number lines to explain my answers. I know that one whole contains 100 hundredths.

Worked example: 27 hundredths is written as 27/100 or 0.27. The 2 is in the tenths place and the 7 is in the hundredths place.

Place-value table:

Ones     Tenths     Hundredths
    0         2            7
0.27 = 2 tenths + 7 hundredths = 27/100

Remember: 0.6 = 0.60 because 6 tenths is the same as 60 hundredths.
