Sam's New Pet

Sam wanted a pet for his birthday. His mum took him to the pet shop on Saturday morning. Sam saw many animals. There were fluffy rabbits, colourful fish, and chirping birds.

Sam looked at a small, brown hamster in a cage. The hamster was running on a wheel. "I like this one!" said Sam. His mum smiled and said, "Let's take him home."

Sam named his hamster Biscuit. Every day, Sam gave Biscuit fresh water and food. Biscuit loved to eat carrots and sunflower seeds. Sam was very happy with his new friend.
