Objective

Materials

• Orff instruments (xylophones, metallophones, glockenspiels)
• Small percussion instruments (shakers, tambourines, hand drums)
• Large room space for movement
• Colored scarves or ribbons
• Visual aids (musical notes, simple rhythm patterns)

Warm-Up (10 minutes)

Welcome Song (5 minutes)

1. Activity: Start with a simple "Hello" song to greet each student by name and set a positive tone.
   • Lyrics: "Hello, [student's name], it's nice to see you today! Let's start our music class, hip-hip-hooray!"
2. Objective: Encourage students to participate vocally and actively listen.

Body Percussion (5 minutes)

1. Activity: Use a "follow the leader" style body percussion. The teacher claps a short pattern, and students repeat.
   • Patterns: Clap, pat knees, stomp feet.

Main Activities (25 minutes)

3. Game: “Freeze Dance”

   • Play a piece of lively music and let students dance with the scarves.
   • When the music stops, they must freeze and listen for the next instruction (e.g., "freeze", "only wave your scarf").

Cool Down (5 minutes)

Musical Reflection

1. Activity: Form a circle and pass a hand drum around. Each child takes a turn to tap the drum once and share one sound they enjoyed or a new thing they learned.
