Lesson Procedure

1. Anticipatory Set / Introduction (5 minutes)

2. Review Key Events (10 minutes)

5. Exit Ticket / Assessment (3 minutes)

• Hand the student a quick written prompt to answer:
  • "Why is it important to understand the order of historical events like those at Fort Morgan? Give one example from your timeline to support your answer."
• Collect the response as formative assessment of understanding sequencing and content knowledge.
