Lesson Outline
1. Introduction and Instructions (5 minutes)
- Briefly explain the “Actividades por estaciones” (Stations) approach.
- Review the Day’s learning objective: "Puedo interpretar nuevas palabras en contexto, en forma simple y clara."
- Organize students into 5 groups of approximately 10-11 students each.
- Explain rotation sequence: every station is approximately 10 minutes long except the listening station (5-7 minutes).
- Emphasize speaking only in Spanish during activities.
2. Station Rotations (45 minutes total)
Station #1: Speaking Activities (10 minutes)
Objective: Practice spoken Spanish using vocabulary in context.
Activity:
- Students pair up to ask and answer questions about their weekly routine (lunes a viernes) using simple sentences:
- Example questions:
- ¿Qué haces los lunes?
- ¿A qué hora vas a la escuela los viernes?
- Teacher provides sentence starters and vocabulary cheat sheets for support.
- Circulate to facilitate and prompt deeper thinking using simple follow-ups in Spanish.
Station #2: Missing Words Worksheet (10 minutes)
Objective: Use context clues to interpret vocabulary and complete sentences accurately.
Activity:
- Students fill in blanks with words related to days of the week, routines, and holiday vocabulary.
- Sentences are designed with contextual hints ensuring comprehension.
- Example sentence:
- El miércoles, yo _______ (ir) a la clase de español.

Station #3: Bingo Vocabulary Game (10 minutes)
