Weather Stories Celebration

Overview

Today is our post-unit celebration for “Weather Legends & Ancient Cultures.” Students will share what they learned with family and reflect on how key details helped them identify the central message, lesson, or moral from stories.

Learning intentions

• Students will be able to recount what they learned from weather legends and myths.
• Students will be able to determine the central message or moral and explain how key details show it.
• Students will be able to introduce a topic, group related information, and use illustrations or examples to help others understand.
• Students will be able to write and share in short, focused time frames for a real audience (family).

Success criteria

• I can share one unique insight about a weather legend or myth with my family.
• I can explain the central message/moral using key details from the text.
• I can organize my sharing clearly (topic first, related ideas together).
• I can celebrate our learning and reflect on what I improved.
